Introduction to the Green Classroom

The Green Classroom is an extracurricular learning environment where students can engage with plants and animals in their natural habitat. This program is designed for all school levels and forms, including kindergarten groups and institutions for child and youth education.

• Duration: 2 hours, adjustable by agreement
• Costs: 3 per student, with a minimum charge of 50 for fewer than 17 students

• Bunte Vielfalt der Tropen (Colorful Diversity of the Tropics): For students from the 7th grade onwards, focusing on the ecology of tropical regions, including adaptation of species to environmental factors and the value of biodiversity.
• Nachhaltige Produktion in den Tropen (Sustainable Production in the Tropics): For students from the 5th grade onwards, exploring sustainable practices in tropical agriculture, the impact of human activities on ecosystems, and global challenges related to natural and cultural areas.

• Lebensraum Wald (Habitat Forest): Exploring the diverse forest types in the Botanical Garden, including deciduous mixed forests, pasture forests, and areas with primeval forest characteristics.
• Lebensraum Teich (Habitat Pond): Discovering the aquatic life and plant communities in the garden's pond.
• Lebensraum Wiese (Habitat Meadow): Investigating the flora and fauna of the meadow, including typical meadow plants and insects.
• Talking Tree Berti: An interactive workshop where students learn about a tree's reactions to abiotic factors through data analysis.
• Biodiversität entdecken "iNaturalist" (Discovering Biodiversity with "iNaturalist"): Using a digital platform to identify and record plant and animal species in the garden.
