Program Overview
The Voices of Hispanic American Catholicism program is a three-week course that explores the richness and opportunities that Hispanic Catholics bring to the Catholic Church in the United States. The program is guided by the articles in The Treasure of Hispanic Catholicism, the Spring 2016 issue of C21 Resources, edited by Dr. Hosffman Ospino.
Program Details
- The course fee is $30.
- The program is designed to reflect on the pastoral needs of Hispanic families and youth and the meaning of this treasure for parishes and communities.
- The course includes more than 15 brief articles by various authors, weekly questions for reflection and discussion, a weekly introduction and study guide, and a regularly updated Resources page for further study.
Course Structure
- The course is divided into three weeks:
- Introductory Week
- Week 1: The Hispanic Presence in American Catholicism Today
- Week 2: Opportunities for American Catholicism because of the Hispanic Presence

- Participants have access to the course's password-protected website 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- Each participant belongs to a small Community for Conversation and faith sharing guided by a facilitator.
- The course site is usually available to participants at least three months after the course has ended.

- A Certificate of Active Participation is awarded to those who post at least three messages of substance for each week of content.
