Lecture series Critical Porn Studies (2023)

This public lecture series focuses on artistic and queer-feminist strategies and media production and reception processes in pornography. It takes place from April 18 to July 18, 2023, on Tuesday evenings, partly in a hybrid format at the University of Bremen and at various locations in Bremen.


Program Details

The lecture series aims to work with invited experts on aesthetic-media and image-critical questions about processes of sexual normation, diverse life designs, and image production and didactics. The series will explore how concepts of power, gender, nudity, consent, and body norms are negotiated, and how self-determined and decolonized designs of sexuality are handled.
