Examination Regulations

The examination regulations for each program can be found on the university's website.

General Studies

For programs with a General Studies component, students are advised to collect their General Studies certificates and not submit them to the Central Examination Office immediately.

• General Studies certificates can no longer be exchanged once they have been submitted.
• Graded certificates of achievement must also be submitted as graded. Students should consider whether they want to complete the achievement as graded or ungraded and inform their lecturer accordingly.
• Submission of certificates of achievement When submitting General Studies certificates, students should ideally bring the original and a copy. The copy will be kept for their file, and they can take the original certificate back for potential future use.
• Voluntary additional achievements If students submit additional General Studies certificates that exceed the required 180 CPs, these will be listed as voluntary additional achievements and will not be included in the calculation of the overall grade. The voluntary additional achievements will be listed separately in an annex to the certificate, including the grade and CPs.

Program-Specific Information

Pflegewissenschaft - dual

• Time periods for exam registration and deregistration According to ｧ 13 paragraph 2 of the general parts of the Bachelor or Master examination regulations of June 11, 2025, the deadlines for registration and deregistration are exclusively dependent on the information in the examination schedule. There is a separate examination schedule for each subject. The deadlines for the exams in a particular subject can be found under this link.
• General information for the registration and deregistration phase Registration for an exam is mandatory in every semester in which the student wishes to participate in the exam. This also applies to repetitions after a failed attempt or a sick leave notification. There is no automatic registration. More information is available under "Information on examination matters."
• Problems during registration or deregistration If a student is unable to register or deregister via PABO, it may be due to the following reasons:
  • Module results from the departments are still pending (please contact the module representative)
  • The student has already passed the module (please check the course schedule on PABO)
  • There is a different registration and deregistration phase (see examination schedule)
  • The student is not enrolled in the study program If registration is still not possible, please contact the responsible office in the Central Examination Office immediately. In case of technical problems within the PABO portal, please contact us immediately and within the registration phase using this form.
