Program Overview


Introduction to the Dual Degree Program

The Dual Degree Program is a unique opportunity for students in the doctoral program at the university to earn an additional degree in technology management. This program aims to foster innovation leaders who can bridge the gap between scientific discoveries and technological inventions, and their social and economic value.


Program Overview

The Dual Degree Program is designed for students in the doctoral program who wish to acquire a technology management degree in addition to their doctoral degree. The program focuses on providing students with practical knowledge in technology management, alongside their academic knowledge in their respective fields.


Eligibility

The program is open to students in the doctoral program who meet the following criteria:


  • Students in the doctoral program (excluding the Innovation Science Course in the Environment and Social Engineering Department)
  • Students in the doctoral program in medicine or dentistry (excluding the international collaboration major)
  • Students in the third year or later of the doctoral program

Admission Schedule and Selection Method

The program has two admission periods per year, in April and September. The selection process involves an oral examination, which is held in July and November. The examination is based on the student's application and the agreement of their academic supervisor.


Tuition Fees

Students in the Dual Degree Program are only required to pay the tuition fees for the doctoral program. There are no additional fees for the technology management degree.


Graduation Requirements

To graduate from the program, students must complete at least 40 credits and pass a project report. However, students who have already completed a master's degree may be eligible for a reduction in the number of credits required.

Enrollment and Graduation Status

As of October 1, 2025, there are 6 students enrolled in the program and 44 students who have graduated.


Application Procedure

For students who wish to apply to the program in April 2026, the application forms will be available for download from October 27, 2025. The application period is from November 14 to November 18, 2025, and the selection examination will be held on November 25 and 26, 2025.
