Program Overview
Introduction to the ASPIRE Forum Student Workshop
The ASPIRE Forum Student Workshop is a student exchange program that will be held in conjunction with the annual ASPIRE forum. This year, the program will take place from July 7 to 11 and will focus on the theme "Advancing Health & Medicine through AI & Technology".
Outlines
The program, also known as the "Entrepreneurship Bootcamp", will feature lectures and workshops where participants will engage with the theme. On the final day, each group will give a presentation.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the program, applicants must:
- Be Science Tokyo graduate students
- Be able to communicate in English on the program theme
- Be passionate about communicating with students from ASPIRE League member universities
Destination
The program will take place at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) in China.
Dates
The program will be conducted from July 7 to 11, 2025.
Number of Nominees
Science Tokyo will recommend 5 students to participate in the program.
Cost
- Necessary expenses, such as travel expenses, travel insurance, and local transportation, will be paid by the participant.
- Local accommodations will be arranged by HKUST, and accommodation expenses will be borne by HKUST.
- Accommodations will be provided for 6 nights and 7 days, from July 6 to July 12.
- HKUST will notify each participant of their local accommodation after their participation is confirmed.
Scholarships
A stipend may be provided by Science Tokyo to cover some expenses after returning to Japan. However, students who receive financial aid from programs that do not permit funding from other sources are not eligible.
Date of Interview
Online interviews will be held on May 15, between 10:00-12:00 am, and will last approximately 25 minutes.
Application Procedure
To apply, fill out the online application form and submit the required items via Box File Request, including:
- Application form
- Copy of official transcripts (note: students enrolled in April 2025 need to submit a copy of transcripts from their previous program)
- Certifications of English language ability (copies of TOEFL/TOEIC scoresheet, etc.; certification is not required for IGP students)
- ID photo
- A copy of an email showing approval from the academic supervisor
- Please include the full name in the file name of all submitted files.
Screening Procedure
Applicants who pass the document screening will have an online interview on Wednesday, May 15.
Deadline
The application deadline is Friday, May 9, 9:00 am.
