Program Overview
The Accessibility Leader Special Lecture is a 1.0-unit course offered to students from the 1st to 5th year, held on Thursdays during the spring semester. The instructors for this course are Suenaga Ayaka, Takeda Kazunori, Nakagawa Masaru, Okazaki Shinji, Sato Atsuko, Kobayashi Hideyuki, Takizawa Keita, and Funakoshi Takaki.
Course Description
This course aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of various disabilities, including physical and developmental disabilities, and explore ways to support individuals with disabilities. Through lectures and discussions, students will learn about the latest technologies and methods for supporting people with disabilities, as well as compare and contrast support systems in Japan and other countries. The ultimate goal of this course is to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to create a more inclusive and accessible society.

The course will be conducted in a face-to-face format, with online components used as needed.

Allocation of Learning Time and Methods
Students who wish to engage in practical support for students with disabilities can take an additional course, "Support Technology for Students with Disabilities," and register as a peer tutor.

The main textbook for this course is "Easy-to-Understand! Support for Students with Disabilities at Universities" edited by Kazunori Takeda and published by Jiasu Education Shinsha in 2018.
