The Training Program
The training program for Kauffrau/-mann f³r B³romanagement (w/m/d) is a 3-year program with a 40-hour workweek. The training allowance is paid according to TVA-L BBiG. The training content is based on the regulations of the Federal Agency for Work and the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training.
Application Requirements
- Minimum requirement: Fachoberschulreife (MSA) with good grades in German, mathematics, and English
- Teamwork skills, flexibility, and communication skills
- Enjoyment of service-oriented interaction with people
- Very good expression in word and writing (language skills in German at least C1 level)
- First practical experiences in office work and handling MS-Office are desirable
In-Company Training
The focus of the training is on secretarial, assistant, and administrative tasks in the public service sector. The trainee will work together with experienced colleagues to ensure a smooth operation of the teaching operation. In the first year of training, the trainee will work in the assistant area and learn how an office is organized. The trainee will handle written communication, design presentations, procure office materials, monitor appointments, and organize business trips. In the further course of the training, the trainee will be deployed in various departments of the university and have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge in areas such as personnel, events, or finance.
Vocational School
The vocational school is the Oberstufenzentrum II (OSZ) - Economy and Administration, located at Zum Jagenstein 26, 14478 Potsdam. The subjects taught include:
- Business-related area: Business administration including information processing
- Cross-business area: German, English, economics and social studies, sports
Further Training Opportunities
There are further training opportunities with certificate courses at the Training Center of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce or qualification opportunities at the Administration and Economics Academy Potsdam e.V.
