Program Overview
Introduction to the Program
The "Mirai no Tobira Challenge" program is a joint initiative by the National University Corporation Tokyo University of Science, National University Corporation Ochanomizu University, and National University Corporation Nara Women's University. The program aims to discover and nurture exceptional female talent in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
Program Content
Mirai no Tobira Camp
This program invites 50 female high school students from across the country to participate in a 2-night, 3-day camp. The camp includes:
- Advanced science and technology lectures
- Hands-on manufacturing experiences
- Physics and chemistry experiments
- Social problem-solving workshops and idea contests
- Lectures on women's career paths
- Discussions on future prospects Participation, including accommodation and meals, is free of charge, with a maximum subsidy of 60,000 yen for transportation costs.
Mirai no Tobira Visit
This component offers participants the opportunity to experience research laboratory tours, mock lectures, and special lectures at each of the three universities. The goal is to help participants envision their future in STEM fields.
