• Visiting a resort called "Villa Escudero" and enjoying swimming, canoeing, and watching traditional Philippine dance performances
• Visiting the Filipino historical district, Intramuros, and learning about the history of colonial rule by Spain and the culture of Christianity
• Attending regular classes with local students at De La Salle University
• Visiting another university, the Technological University of the Philippines (TUP), and introducing Japanese culture and the university
• Performing a dance and enjoying games and dance with TUP students
• Visiting Uniquease Restaurant and listening to talks by Japanese people who work in the Philippines
• Visiting the Manila office of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and learning about international cooperation

Program Reflection

Despite some changes in plans due to the coronavirus and volcanic eruptions, the program was successful in achieving its goals and providing a meaningful experience for the participants.
