Program Overview
Youth Learn to Boulder Program
The Youth Learn to Boulder program is a 3-week program designed for climbers of all skill levels. The program aims to enhance coordination, strength, and focus through games and activities on the Hamel Recreation Center's Bouldering Wall.
Program Details
- The program is geared towards students in grades 2-6.
- There are four sessions available, each offering an overview of body movement, footwork, falling, and spotting, followed by guided practice.
- Sneakers are required for participation.
- Space is limited, and early enrollment is recommended to guarantee a spot.
Session Information
The following sessions are available:
- Session 1A: February 3-17, Tuesdays, 4:30-5:30pm, Grades 2-6, $55
- Session 1B: February 3-17, Tuesdays, 5:30-6:30pm, Grades 2-6, $55
- Session 2A: March 3-24, Tuesdays, 4:30-5:30pm, Grades 2-6, $55
- Session 2B: March 3-24, Tuesdays, 5:30-6:30pm, Grades 2-6, $55
- Note: There will be no class on March 17.
Location and Tuition
- The program is held at the UNH Hamel Recreation Center, 5 Edgewood Rd., Durham, NH.
- The tuition fee for each session is $55.
Refund Policy
- Campus Recreation does not offer refunds for the Learn to Boulder program, including missed sessions.
Additional Information
- Additional information, including drop-off and pick-up details, will be sent via email from the Campus Recreation staff the day before the session begins.
- A participant's profile must be 100% complete before they can attend the program.
