Program Overview

The Homeland Security Graduate Certificate is ideal for emergency managers, law enforcement, cybersecurity professionals, and others who lead security innovation teams. The program follows the Certified Protection Professional (CPP) body of knowledge requirements of the American Society of Industry Security (ASIS).

Admission Requirements

To be admitted, applicants must have a conferred bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution with at least 60 graded credit hours and a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better, or a 2.5 or better GPA in the last 60 credit hours. The GRE is not required for admission to the Homeland Security Certificate program.

Program Benefits

The Homeland Security Graduate Certificate demonstrates the ability to lead security innovation teams. Upon completion of the 12 credit hours, these credits may be applied toward master's degree programs offered by the College of Engineering, including the MS in Operations Management, MS in Engineering Management, and MS in Engineering.
