Learning Outcomes

On successfully completing the module, students will be able to:

1. Demonstrate a systematic knowledge and understanding of the theories and practices of operational management applied in the architectural profession.
2. Demonstrate rational and autonomous decision-making and leadership skills.
3. Demonstrate a systematic understanding of the range of services offered by architects and delivering those services in a manner prioritising the interests of the client and other stakeholders.
4. Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the business priorities, required management processes and risks of running an architectural practice.
5. Demonstrate the skills necessary to plan project-related tasks, coordinate and engage in design team interaction, execute effective contract communication and autonomously resolve construction-related challenges and disputes.
