Overview

By participating in task-based seminars, interactive writing exercises, and collaborative projects, students will develop the necessary language skills to communicate clearly in German at an intermediate level.

    • 600 words Report (Research Project Report worth 30%)
    • 60 minutes and 900 words Language skills (Listening and reading (40%), speaking (30%))
  • Reassessment Method: Single instrument 100% Practical Skills assessment (900 words)

    1. Read and write in German at the intermediate level
    2. Select and apply an expanded German vocabulary at the intermediate level
    3. Demonstrate comprehension of key ideas in standard German texts on familiar topics
    4. Express opinions and exchange information confidently in German on familiar or routine subjects
    5. Develop a critical understanding of the cultures and ways of life in German-speaking countries
