Joint Degrees of BA and B.Sc.
Students who wish to simultaneously pursue a Bachelor of Arts (BA) program and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) program can do so by completing a minimum of 135 credit hours in courses. While a minor program is not required, students have the option to complete the requirements for a minor or an additional (third) major.
- Careful planning of courses is crucial to ensure timely completion of the program.
- Students enrolled in this program, or those planning to enroll, are strongly encouraged to consult regularly with appropriate academic advisors in both the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.
- Delaying the decision to embark on the program may make it challenging to complete the requirements for the joint degrees within the normal timeframe.
- Students must satisfy all program requirements before they can be granted either a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science degree.
- Both degrees must be awarded at the same convocation, ensuring that graduates meet all academic standards and requirements of both faculties.
