The Craig Dobbin Legacy Programme consists of:

  • 30 scholarships total to help deepen the ties between Canada and Ireland
    • 15 Scholarships for UCD students to come to Canada
    • 15 Scholarships for Canadian students to go to Ireland
    • At least 3 scholarships dedicated to strengthening the connection between Memorial University and UCD
  • 5,000 - 7,000 EURO funding
  • 2 - 4 week duration
  • Focus on the Humanities and Social Sciences in particular, but interdisciplinary approaches are welcomed

Background

In April of 2024, James Kelly, a representative of ICUF, visited Memorial University to speak about the long-standing connection between the two institutions and to highlight the Craig Dobbin Legacy Scholarships. This programme is a testament to the strong bond between Canada and Ireland, aiming to foster academic exchange and cooperation.
