Mechanical Engineering Program

Program Information

The Mechanical Engineering program at Memorial University is a five-year program that includes up to two years of real engineering work experience. The program is offered at the St. John's campus and is part of the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science.


Program Description

Mechanical engineering is a broad field that involves the application of physical principles for analysis, design, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems. The program at Memorial University encompasses the design and manufacturing of products used in every facet of society, analysis and prevention of mechanical system failures, and improving the efficiency and reliability of renewable energy systems.


Admission Requirements

To apply for admission into the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science, students must indicate Bachelor of Engineering in the appropriate place on the undergraduate application for admission. In addition to meeting the general admission requirements, students must also meet the admission requirements set out by the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science.
