Program Overview
Elementary Education Program
The Elementary Education undergraduate program is designed to prepare teacher candidates with the essential foundations for instructing children in grades K-8. Licensure at the undergraduate level requires students to declare either an early childhood or middle school concentration.
Curriculum
The program offers two concentrations:
- Elementary Education Curriculum - Early Childhood Concentration
- Elementary Education Curriculum - Middle School Concentration
Program Details
In addition to elementary licensure, candidates can also earn add-on endorsements in:
- Music
- Art
- Physical education
- Technology
- Special education
Students have the option of enrolling in the program on the Starkville Campus, Meridian Campus, or online through the Center for Distance Education.
