Psychology Research Program
The Psychology Research Program at Mississippi State University is designed to uncover the secrets of the human mind through research studies, often conducted with undergraduates as participants. The program relies heavily on these studies to make new discoveries about human behavior.
Program Description
The program is carefully designed to reveal new knowledge, and participants are asked to contribute to this important enterprise. Advanced undergraduates, graduate students, and faculty conduct research, and their efforts are appreciated. Perhaps a discovery made in one of the experiments will end up in a Psychology textbook or important scientific journal someday.
Research Alternatives
In addition to participating in research studies, the program offers the opportunity to learn more about psychology and the research process by completing activities called "research alternatives." These alternatives provide a window into the science of psychology, and participants are welcome to major in psychology if they enjoy their psychology classes.
