Program Overview
The Délégué ŕ la Protection des Données (DPO) program is designed for professionals seeking to exercise the role of DPO, individuals confronted with issues related to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and strategies for securing sensitive data.
Target Audience

- Professionals wishing to acquire expertise in GDPR and protection of sensitive data
- Individuals working in administration and local authorities desiring to occupy a DPO position within their institution
- Existing DPOs seeking to enhance their skills
- Former correspondents for information and liberties (CIL)
- Legal professionals (lawyers, jurists, etc.)
- Information system security professionals, IT specialists, and cybersecurity engineers
- Compliance and risk management professionals
- Human resources specialists
- Others interested in data protection
Program Types
The program is offered in two formats:
Formation Continue
For professionals seeking to exercise the DPO role or those confronted with GDPR and data security issues.
Formation Initiale
For students who have validated a university degree or equivalent and are enrolled in a French higher education institution to prepare for a Master's or Doctoral degree.
Requirements
- For professionals and students in continuing education: a validated Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) or at least a Bac + 2 with a minimum of one year of professional experience.
- For students in initial training: a validated license is required to enroll in this diploma.
Prerequisites
No specific skills in law or new technologies are required. An interest in questions related to data protection is necessary.
Admission Conditions
- Selection based on application
- Limited capacity: 24 persons
- Registration fees:
- Professionals: 3,500 euros (with the possibility of paying in installments)
- Students enrolled in initial training: 950 euros
- The application dossier for the 2027 session will be available online on June 22, 2026
Organization and Calendar
- Courses will take place primarily on Thursdays (9:00 AM - 5:30 PM) and Fridays (9:00 AM - 5:30 PM) with a break from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM.
- The program is entirely distance-based.
- This rhythm allows for the continuation of professional activity.
- The 100-hour training will take place from January 2027 to June 2027. The training calendar will be published in June 2026.
- The exam is scheduled to take place in person during the first week of July at the Faculty of Law and Political Science in Montpellier and Paris.
