Program Overview

Master Biologie-Santé, Parcours IDIL "Sciences for Human Health"

The IDIL project opens the doors to a hundred laboratories of the University of Montpellier, a university of excellence, and its partners, around three societal challenges: Feeding, Caring, and Protecting.

Presentation

The interdisciplinary multi-scale research used in modern Bio-Health requires that people working in the field be trained in a wide range of disciplines. In this sense, the "Sciences for Human Health (SH2)" course provides a new training curriculum within a higher education institution for young scientists, from Master's to Doctoral level, while bringing together people with different backgrounds.

Based on this observation, the SH2 program implements a dual curriculum in medicine and biology, with the aim of training future leaders, scientists, and health professionals in the field of Bio-Health. The training allows students to acquire a solid foundation in key disciplines and creates close links between training and research.

This training is aimed at students from sciences and technologies in close interaction with the health sector (doctors, pharmacists, dentists).

Objectives

The "Sciences for Human Health (SH2)" course brings together advanced teaching and excellent research to develop innovative thinking in students and raise their awareness of the impact of the environment on human health. The research program is part of MUSE's ambition to support excellence in fundamental and clinical research in the field of Bio-Health. It offers multidisciplinary and integrative research, from genetics to molecular and experimental medicine, to develop quantitative biology and new therapeutic and diagnostic strategies for human health. This master's program prepares students for quantitative and personalized medicine of the future.

He was born on July 2, 1746, in Dijon, parish of Saint Pierre. His father was a master glazier.
