Master Mathématiques – Parcours Préparation à l'Agrégation Externe de Mathématiques

The Agrégation de mathématiques is a highly selective recruitment competition that allows teaching in high schools, preparatory classes (CPGE), or at the university (PRAG). Possessing the title of Agrégé can also be a very positive element in the context of a potential recruitment in a private company, as it is a sign of significant work capacity and concentration.

To enroll in the "Préparation à l'Agrégation externe de Mathématiques" course, it is necessary to hold a Master 1 degree in mathematics, preferably with a strong foundation in fundamental mathematics. This course offers an intensive training program that will enable students to approach the competition with the best chances of success.

The main qualities required to take the competition (and which will also be developed during the preparation) are the solidity of knowledge, culture, and perspective on the entire set of knowledge acquired since the License.

Presentation of the Course

The training is divided into the following teachings:

• Preparation for the written exam:
  • Revision courses of the License and Master 1 program.
  • White written subjects that are corrected and commented.
  • TD sessions focused on a written subject.
• Preparation for the oral exam:
  • Lessons prepared throughout the year.
  • Colles that allow testing development choices.
• Preparation for the oral option:
  • We offer preparation for option C (algebra and formal calculation).

Registration for the Competition

To register for the external agrégation competition, it is necessary to go to the specific site of the ministry. See also the site of the mathematics agrégation jury. To be a candidate, it is necessary to have validated a Master's degree in Mathematics (or equivalent, for example, an engineering diploma).
