About Program
Program Overview
Introduction to the Agrégation Interne de Physique-Chimie Program
The Agrégation Interne de Physique-Chimie program is a preparation course for the internal agrégation exam in Physics-Chemistry, offered jointly by the DAFPEN of the Montpellier rectorate and the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Montpellier.
Presentation of the Formation
This formation is open to all colleagues teaching Physics-Chemistry in the academy, whether in college or high school, and even if they have less than 5 years of seniority. The registration for the competition is not possible in this case, but following the training is always possible. The training is also accessible to all those who want to have beautiful experiences and/or progress on a theme, without even registering for the competition.
Course Schedule and Structure
- The courses take place from September to April, every Wednesday, all day, in buildings 2 (Physics) or 16 (Chemistry) of the Triolet campus of the University of Montpellier, Place E. Bataillon.
- In addition to Wednesdays, two 3-day stages are organized during school vacations (Toussaint and February).
- The teachings provided by the teachers allow for a refresher and an update of the scientific skills and knowledge of secondary school teachers.
- They are accessible to all and allow each person to progress at their own pace, including those who do not aim for the agrégation.
- The preparation alternates between "Physics" and "Chemistry" days.
- The sessions combine courses, directed work, but mostly manipulations (TP).
Admission and Examination
- The internal agrégation competition is open to certified secondary school teachers with at least 5 years of experience in their profession, and it assesses scientific and pedagogical aspects.
- The training prepares more specifically for the written and oral parts of the internal agrégation of Physics-Chemistry, but also to a certain extent for the external agrégation of Physics-Chemistry, option Physics or Chemistry.
- For the written part, a blank test is proposed at the end of December in Physics and Chemistry.
- For the oral part, presentations of lectures (theoretical part) and assemblies (experimental part) are required from the candidates.
Inscription and Registration
- Registration for this training, coordinated by the DAFPEN, is done via the GAIA platform.
- Attention, registration for the preparation does not equal registration for one or both of the competitions.
- We advise you to register for both competitions, internal and external.
- Each candidate must register individually.
- The admission tests for the internal agrégation take place in January, and the oral part takes place during the first week of the spring school vacation in zone C.
Volume and Team
- Volume: approximately 156 hours (26 days), as permitted by the calendar.
- The training is provided by teacher-researchers and agrégé professors from the Faculty of Sciences of Montpellier, as well as by agrégé professors from secondary schools or preparatory classes.
- Current team for physics: C. Chaubet, R. Almasor, B. Chenaud; for chemistry: AL Dalverny, D. Egron, JF Dufrèche, P. Gaston, G. Schott-Leyral.
Responsible for the Formation
- Christophe Chaubet, Professor of Universities at the Physics Department of the Faculty of Sciences (University of Montpellier), agrégé, researcher at the Laboratoire Charles Coulomb.
- Rémi Almasor, Agrégé Professor at the Lycée polyvalent Charles Gide d'Uzès.
Results
- 19 admitted in 10 years, and 24 admissible (some several times).
- Most of the admitted did not believe in their chance when they obtained the agrégation.
