ERASMUS+ School of Mining and Metallurgical Engineering
Program Overview
ERASMUS+ Program
The School of Mining and Metallurgical Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens offers the ERASMUS+ program, a European funded initiative that provides opportunities for undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate students to visit partner universities within the EU or non-EU countries for studies or internships.
Program Description
The ERASMUS+ program is based on collaboration agreements between universities, which are completed through initiatives by the teaching staff of the School and their personal contacts with members from other universities or university networks. The program includes additional activities, such as subsidizing the mobility of teaching staff and general staff mobility to increase their experience and skills. However, the main scope of the program is student exchange between partner universities, based on bilateral agreements.
Eligibility Criteria
All students are entitled to participate in the program, provided they meet the following requirements:
- They are at least in the second year of their studies in one of the departments of the NTUA.
- They have successfully completed at least 3/4 of the first-year courses.
Course Selection
Students who are going to take courses in one of the foreign partner universities should carefully select them from the available course program. While selecting, students are encouraged to consult the teaching staff of the School of Mining and Metallurgical Engineering of the NTUA who teach similar courses, to correctly select courses with relevant content.
Thesis Permission
Students who wish to carry out their thesis at a foreign institution should claim a written permission from their Supervisor.
Selection Criteria
The selection of students who will participate in the ERASMUS+ program is based on the following specific criteria:

- Student's competence (average score in taught courses).
- Rate of ECTS of successfully completed courses/ Total course program ECTS based on the current semester of the applicant.
