High School Band and Orchestra Camp

The High School Band and Orchestra Camp is a one-week program for students in grades 9-12.


Grades

The camp is open to students in grades 9-12 (band) and 10-12 (strings).


Date

The camp will take place from June 7-13, 2026.


Purpose

The camp provides students with intense training in all facets of string, wind, and percussion playing.


Daily Schedule

Students will participate in large ensemble rehearsals, chamber music sessions, string quartets, jazz ensemble, and master class lessons.


Housing and Meals

Students will be housed in university dormitories and will have meals provided in the university dining halls.


Cost

The cost of the camp is $680 for residential students and $490 for commuter students.


Eligibility

The camp is open to all woodwind, brass, and percussion students who will enter grades 9-12, and string students who will enter grades 10-12.


Auditions

Each student will be asked to audition for placement in the ensembles for the camp.


Registration Information

Camp enrollment is limited to 350 students and is filled on a first-come, first-served basis.


Refund Policy

Campers who cancel registration by May 22 at 3 PM are eligible to receive a full refund of camp registration fees less the non-refundable $200 deposit.
