Health Care Administration Program
The Health Care Administration program offers two options: the Master of Health Administration (MHA) and the dual-degree MHA/MBA.
Program Requirements
- The MHA program requires 57 credit hours in the first year.
- The MHA/MBA dual-degree program requires 78 credit hours.
- The average time to graduate with either the MHA or the MHA/MBA is approximately 24 months.
Grading Policies
Grading will be conducted in accordance with the current versions of course syllabi, the individual student assessment plan, and the Medical Center of Excellence regulation. These documents provide the official policies and procedures for academic standards, remedial training, retesting, and student removal.
Retention, Attrition, and Placement Rates
The program's retention, attrition, and placement rates are as follows:
- Retention Rate: The percent of students who continued in the program past the "initial period of study."

- 24 general/flag rank officers are Army-Baylor alumni.
- Comparing promotion rates for Army Baylor University MHA students with their Army Medical Service peers, the Army Baylor University students were significantly more likely to be selected for promotion to LTC and to reach higher levels of rank.
- Army MTFs with DCAs, who were previous Army Baylor University MHA residents, were more likely to have earned significantly higher Joint Commission scores and patient satisfaction ratings than DCAs who were not Army Baylor University graduates.
