Costa Rica Spring Break

The Costa Rica Spring Break program is a service opportunity and educational field experience for undergraduate or graduate students.


Program Details

  • Faculty Director: Dr. Lee Anne Brannon
  • Location: San Jose, Costa Rica
  • Partnership: El Colegio Técnico in Heredia
  • Focus: Helping Costa Rica students with English language skills
  • Activities: Teaching and practicing conversations and short stories, advising on résumé writing, recreation (e.g., soccer)
  • Eligibility: Open to all Baylor students, ideal for education majors
  • Benefits: Gain a global perspective on education and language learning
  • Cost: Approximately $2000-$2300, covered by the BU Missions Supplement
  • Day trips: Explore the beauty of Costa Rica, visit volcanos and waterfalls, try adventure hiking, visit coffee and chocolate production centers
