PhD in Educational Psychology

The Doctor of Philosophy program in Educational Psychology develops researchers and scholars for higher education and applied fields of psychology.   • Students are admitted into one of four specializations:
    • Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA): Doctoral students gain knowledge and experience in conducting behavior analytic research, teaching ABA courses, and supervising preservice behavior analysts.
    • Gifted & Talented Education: Doctoral students specializing in gifted and talented education study the theory of exceptionality, individual differences related to cognitive ability, and the psychology of giftedness.
    • Quantitative Methods: The PhD specialization in quantitative methods develops researchers with multidisciplinary perspectives who focus on inquiry and creative production to improve the quality of research and instruction in higher education.
    • Special Education: Baylor's innovative and interdisciplinary special education specialization equips students for future research, teaching, and leadership roles across academic, clinical, and community settings.
