Master of International Journalism
The Master of International Journalism (M.I.J.) is an interdisciplinary program designed to prepare students for exciting careers in foreign correspondence and international mass communication.
Program Overview
The M.I.J. requires 30 semester hours of course work and a six-hour internship abroad. Before going abroad, students must demonstrate proficiency in a language different than their first. Most students in the M.I.J. program study a language at Baylor before starting their internships.

M.I.J. students have completed internships in various regions, including:
- Europe
- South America
- Canada
- Asia
- Africa
with a range of organizations, such as:
- News organizations
- Public relations firms
- Government agencies
- Faith-based organizations
