Prehealth Program Overview
The Prehealth program at Baylor University is designed to foster a culture where every student, regardless of their background, is empowered to make a profound impact in the field of medicine. The program aims to inspire future healthcare leaders to embrace and champion the vital principles of cultural humility in their leadership, community service, and interactions with a diverse population. The program is led by a student-led committee, which includes Tiara Adeniji as the CREB Program Lead, Sreenidhi Atluri as the CREB Week Coordinator, Meena Gunda as the Event Coordinator, and Mindy Calvillo as the Academic Advisor. The program's mission is to create a culture of cultural humility, where students can learn, grow, and develop into compassionate and competent healthcare professionals. The program offers various special programs, research opportunities, student-led organizations, and educational resources to support students in their academic and professional pursuits. The program also provides advising services, including pre-dentistry, pre-medicine, pre-occupational therapy, pre-optometry, pre-pharmacy, pre-physician assistant, and pre-veterinary medicine. The program is committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the field of medicine and provides resources and support for students from underrepresented backgrounds. The program's curriculum is designed to provide students with a comprehensive education in the sciences, as well as the social and cultural contexts of healthcare. The program also offers opportunities for students to engage in research, clinical practice, and community service, preparing them for successful careers in the healthcare industry.

The Science & Health Living-Learning Community is a residential community that provides students with a supportive and inclusive environment to live and learn. The community is designed to foster a sense of belonging and connection among students, and to provide opportunities for students to engage in academic and extracurricular activities related to the sciences and healthcare.

The 7E Model for Cultural Humility and Antioppressive Living is a framework that provides guidance for students and healthcare professionals on how to engage in culturally humble practice. The model emphasizes the importance of self-reflection, empathy, and understanding in building relationships with patients and communities from diverse backgrounds.
