Program Overview
International Business Program
The International Business program is a second major that must be combined with another business major. It is also designated as a pre-major, similar to several other majors in the Hankamer School of Business. The major applies the basics taught within the general business school, but in the framework of a global setting.
Coursework
Coursework prepares students for positions of leadership in a dynamic environment of global production, exchange, information, and finance. Available courses include:
- Doing Business Across Cultures
- International Marketing
- Economic Development
- Global Trade Compliance
- Economic Systems of the World
Organizations and Resources
Baylor also offers several organizations for students acquiring International Business degrees. These organizations include both honor societies and campus involvement programs. The McBride Center for International Business offers many study abroad opportunities. The Hankamer School of Business offers student exchange and study abroad programs as well.
Career Opportunities
Career opportunities are available for International Business majors in almost any field. Positions are most common in multinational markets, government agencies, and business consulting firms, as well as energy industries and banking.
Study Abroad Experiences
Study abroad experiences are recommended for all International Business students.
