The Dual Master of Business Administration/Master of Science in Information Systems is a concurrent degree program designed for students interested in expanding their breadth of business knowledge while obtaining an in-depth understanding of information systems.

Admission
Students must apply and be accepted separately into both the MBA and MSIS programs. Additional admissions requirements for the MBA can be found under the Business School Admissions.
Requirements for the Dual Business Administration (MBA)/Information Systems (MSIS)
Candidates for this dual degree must complete the requirements for both programs. The requirements include:

- BUS 5401: Business Frameworks (4 hours)
- Required MBA Core Courses:
- ACC 5300: Accounting Tools for Management Decision Making (3 hours)
- BUS 5101: Focus Firm I (1 hour)
- BUS 5111: Professional Career Development for First Semester Graduate Students (1 hour)
- BUS 5112: Professional Career Development for Second Semester Graduate Students (1 hour)
- BUS 5385: Strategic Management (3 hours)
- BUS 5390: Management Communication (3 hours)
- ECO 5340: Economic Tools for Management Decision Making (3 hours)
- FIN 5360: Seminar in Corporate Finance (3 hours)
- MGT 5310: Management of Organizational Behavior (3 hours)
- MGT 5320: Manufacturing and Service Operations (3 hours)
- MGT 5325: Leadership in the Global Marketplace (3 hours)
- MIS 5355: Management of Information Systems (3 hours)
- MKT 5310: Seminar in Marketing Strategy (3 hours)
- QBA 5330: Business Analytics for Decision Making (3 hours)
- Other MBA Requirements:
- 1-hour internship required for students without 2 years of full-time work experience

- MIS 5355: Management of Information Systems
- All MSIS students must demonstrate competency in four core content areas: Programming, Systems Analysis and Design, Database, and Information Security

- Credits completed for the MBA Degree: 47 hours
- Credits shared from the MSIS Degree: 6 hours

- Credits completed for the MSIS Degree: 18-24 hours
- Credits shared from MBA Degree: 12 hours
- TOTAL NON-REPEATING HOURS: 65-71 hours
