Program Overview
Program Overview
The Grit to Grow Workforce Fellows program is a 6-week workforce readiness program supported by the University of New Hampshire Cooperative Extension. It is designed to prepare teens ages 1618 for meaningful employment, community engagement, and post-secondary pathway development.
Program Structure
Participants join a cohort within the UNH Extension Community Engaged Internship Program and experience three integrated components:
- Job-Skill Development Workshops (Weekly 45-minute virtual sessions)
- These workshops focus on developing essential job skills.
- Paid Industry Apprenticeship with a community-based employer
- Participants gain hands-on experience in their chosen field.
- Direct Mentorship with experts in the field
- Mentors provide guidance and support throughout the program.
