Lake Tahoe Music Camp

The Lake Tahoe Music Camp (LTMC) is a sleep-away camp committed to providing a memorable and exceptional musical education experience for music students (completing 6th – 12th grades*) each summer.

About the Program

LTMC offers jazz and classical music workshops, clinics, performances, one-on-one mentoring and instruction with award-winning University faculty, guest conductors and professional chamber and jazz musicians. All students play in one of the concert bands, and the jazz bands are filled by audition. Please note that we can't guarantee every student a spot in jazz band.

Program Activities

In their free time every afternoon, students can:

• Play basketball
• Play volleyball
• Play ping-pong
• Swim in the lake
• Canoe
• Kayak
• Participate in organized recreational activities
• Take a nap in their cabin

Accommodations

Students stay in cabins with other children their age and gender. Camp concludes with a final concert for parents and friends before students are picked up to go home.

Eligibility

Students completing 6th grade may participate with approval from the Camp Director.

Program Details

• The camp is situated on its own private beach.
• Many students return year after year because of the camp's fun atmosphere and outstanding musical experiences.

• Boy camper registration is full and we have gone to a waitlist. Girl camper registration is still open.
