The Bachelor of Commerce specialising in Supply Chain Management degree is designed to equip students with the ability to participate in functional management in an integrated supply chain. This programme is offered by the Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences at the University of Pretoria.
Programme Information
Supply chain management is a systems approach to managing the entire flow of materials, information, services, and finance from suppliers of raw materials to factories, warehouses, and ultimately to the end users. The programme includes the following disciplines:
- Supply management

- Supply chain strategy
The Department of Business Management at the University of Pretoria is the only European Logistics Association (ELA) National Certification Centre (NCC) in Sub-Saharan Africa. This degree is accredited at Level 4: Candidate European Junior Logistician (cEJLog), which is based on the European Logistics Association Qualifications Framework Standards agreed by industry.

All modules will only be presented in English, which is the University's official language of tuition, communication, and correspondence. The minimum duration of this programme is 3 years, full-time.
Admission Requirements
Important Information for All Prospective Students
The admission requirements below apply to all who apply for admission to the University of Pretoria with a National Senior Certificate (NSC) and Independent Examination Board (IEB) qualifications.
Minimum Requirements
- Achievement level: English Home Language or English First Additional Language - 5, Mathematics - 4, APS - 30
- Life Orientation is excluded when calculating the APS.
Application Process
Applicants currently in Grade 12 must apply with their final Grade 11 (or equivalent) results. Applicants who have completed Grade 12 must apply with their final NSC or equivalent qualification results. Please note that meeting the minimum academic requirements does not guarantee admission.
Transferring Students
A transferring student is a student who, at the time of applying at the University of Pretoria, is/was a registered student at another tertiary institution. A transferring student will be considered for admission based on NSC or equivalent qualification and previous academic performance.
Returning Students
A returning student is a student who, at the time of application for a degree programme, is/was a registered student at the University of Pretoria and wants to transfer to another degree at the University of Pretoria. A returning student will be considered for admission based on NSC or equivalent qualification and previous academic performance.
