Program Overview
TuksGymnastics Program
The TuksGymnastics program offers various sections, including the Junior Olympic section, which follows the rules and regulations as set out by the code of points of the International Gymnastics Federation's (FIG) Women's Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) Code.
Junior Olympic Section
The Junior Olympic section has a pathway of progression from the FIG Class 4 programme into the Junior Olympic section. However, the South Africa Gymnastics Federation has developed an alternative route through the normal Level 4 and higher competitive programme. The requirements for the Level 8, 9, and Olympic Entry sections are based on systematically introducing the requirements and difficulty of the Olympic sections.
Admission Criteria
Entry into the WAG Junior Olympic section is at age 13 and exit at age 16. For Men's Artistic Gymnastics (MAG) Junior Olympic section, entry is at age 14 and exit at age 16. Rhythmic Gymnastics, Junior Olympic section, has an entry age of 13 and exit at age 15 years.
