Programme information
The Master of Interior Architecture degree is conferred by virtue of dissertation and examination. Refer to General Regulations G.30 to G.40 and G.50 to G.54.
Admission requirements
Candidates who wish to research a topic within the discipline of interior architecture and who:
- are in possession of a BInt or equivalent degree of four years or more;
- are in possession of an honours degree in Interior architecture BIntHons or equivalent;
- are in possession of a three-year degree with Design as major component and who successfully complete supplementary modules with weighting equivalent of an honours degree as prescribed by the Head of Department;
- are deemed adequate by the Head of Department in consultation with the Dean and obtained (where necessary) the approval of Senate and complying with whatever additional requirements may be prescribed are admitted for the degree Master of Interior Architecture (by research).
Examinations and pass requirements
After a minimum of one year of registration, the student submits a dissertation for examination and has an oral examination of the dissertation in the related field of study. The Master of Interior Architecture degree is conferred on students obtaining a minimum of 50% for both the dissertation and oral examination.
Research information
The General Regulation G.39.12 applies.
Pass with distinction
The Master of Interior Architecture degree is conferred with distinction on students obtaining a minimum of 75% in both the dissertation and the oral examination.
