Programme Overview

The University of Pretoria offers a Master's programme in MIS Multimedia, which is a one-year programme with a total of 180 credits at NQF level 09.

Admission Requirements

To be eligible for the programme, applicants must have a BIS or BISHons specialising in any of the specific packages for:

• Library Science
• Information Science
• Multimedia
• Publishing Or any equivalent honours degree.

Other Programme-Specific Information

The Dean may, in exceptional cases, and on the recommendation of the relevant head of department, approve a fixed limited extension of the period of study.

The programme consists of a single core module:

• IMY 890: Dissertation: Multimedia 890, which is worth 180 credits.
