Program Overview

University Program: Diplôme d'Université d'Études Françaises (DUEF)

The Diplôme d'Université d'Études Françaises (DUEF) is a university program that offers students the opportunity to validate their level of French language proficiency by semester and obtain the corresponding diploma.

Program Structure

The program consists of intensive courses, 15 hours per week, for a period of 13 weeks per semester. The courses are complemented by media library sessions integrated into the program and access to the Language Resource Center, with some resources available remotely via the intranet.

Program Levels

The program is divided into six levels:

• Niveau A1: This level prepares students for the DUEF A1 and DELF A1 exams. Students will be able to provide information about themselves or others, interact in simple everyday situations, understand simple audio documents, and comprehend and produce simple written documents.
  • Course objectives:

• Niveau A2: This level prepares students for the DUEF A2 and DELF A2 exams. Students will be able to interact in most everyday situations, produce coherent discourse on familiar topics, understand standard French texts, and write personal texts and letters to describe experiences and impressions.

• Niveau B1: This level prepares students for the DUEF B1 and DELF B1 exams. Students will be introduced to argumentation, learn to structure their discourse, and develop autonomous social skills.

• Niveau B2: This level prepares students for the DUEF B2 and DELF B2 exams. The course focuses on active preparation for university work methodology, emphasizing effective argumentation, sense negotiation, and interactive conversation management.

• Niveau C1: This level prepares students for the DUEF C1 and DALF C1 exams. The course aims to master discourse organization, articulation, and cohesion tools, enabling students to understand complex texts and use the language flexibly and effectively in a wide range of fields.

• Niveau C2: This level prepares students for the DUEF C2 and DALF C2 exams. In addition to deepening university work methodology, the course aims to enable students to understand specialized discourse and express themselves clearly and precisely, both orally and in writing, on complex topics, using an appropriate and effective style.
