Department Information

The Philosophy Department is part of the Institute of Philosophy and Semiotics, which also includes the Semiotics Department and the Consortium of the University of Tartu Ethics Centre. The department conducts and develops philosophical teaching and research at all levels of study, coordinates the translation of classical texts into Estonian, and engages in the popularization of the field.

The department publishes the international philosophy journal Studia Philosophica Estonica.
