What You Will Learn
In this module, students will gain knowledge and understanding of drawing through creating their own drawings and creative outcomes, as well as researching artists' and designers' practices. By the end of the module, students will be able to:
- Have a fuller awareness of the learning and creative culture in art college studios
- Expand their understanding of drawing in various art and design contexts through research, discussion, and practice
- Practice and enhance their technical skills in the development and creation of original outcomes
- Show that they have developed skills in the documentation and presentation of their outputs, as well as in critical reflection and evaluation of their learning, and in verbal, visual, and written communication
Assignments and Assessment
- The module is assessed through coursework (100%), which involves documenting physical artwork photographically throughout the module and presenting it in a 10-page PDF document containing images and accompanying text.
