Introduction to Biomedical Engineering BEng (Hons)

The Biomedical Engineering BEng (Hons) program is offered by the School of Science and Engineering at the University of Dundee.

Fees and Funding

Scotland

The tuition fee for Scottish students is £1,820 GBP per year of study, subject to confirmation by the Scottish Government. Scottish students can apply to the Students Award Agency for Scotland (SAAS) to be assessed for eligibility to have their tuition fees paid by the Scottish Government.

England, Wales, Northern Ireland, and Republic of Ireland

The tuition fee for students from England, Wales, Northern Ireland, and the Republic of Ireland is £9,790 GBP per year of study. From 2026/27, the UK Government has indicated that universities may be permitted to increase tuition fees annually in line with inflation.

International

The tuition fee for international students is £25,750 GBP per year of study. International students may be eligible for scholarships, which could reduce their yearly fee.

Payment Plan

The tuition fee for international students can be paid in installments. The base tuition fee is £25,750, with a deposit of £5,000 required. The remaining balance of £20,750 can be spread across seven interest-free monthly payments.

The tuition fee paid by students will depend on their fee status, which is determined by their application.

Additional Costs

Students may incur additional costs in the course of their education at the University, including:

• Field trips These costs may be mandatory or optional, one-off or ongoing, and vary depending on the program of study.

Tuition Fees Increase

Tuition fees for international students will increase by no more than either a 5% increase on the previous year's tuition fee for the program of study or an increase in accordance with the Consumer Prices Index.
