GPA Requirement

To graduate, a student must have a grade of C or better in all science and mathematics courses required for the degree, including transfer courses. In addition, to graduate, a student must have a 2.2 GPA in required science and mathematics courses taken at K-State.

College of Arts & Sciences Course Requirements

• Orientation Course (1 credit):
  • 1 credit of the College of Arts and Sciences orientation course DAS 101
• Outside Concentration:
  • At least 9 credit hours of 300 level or above in an outside area with the same prefix OR with a prereq in the same prefix
  • No more than 5 credit hours overlap with the core program (BIOCH)
• Overlays:
  • Ethics (3 credits)
  • U.S. Multicultural Understanding (3 credits)
  • Global Perspectives (3 credits)
• Second Language Requirement:
  • Level 4 (i.e., French 4, German 4, Spanish 4, etc.) or the equivalent of level 4 in a foreign language sequence offered by the Department of Modern Languages

Additional Requirements for the B.A. Degree in Biochemistry
