The online conflict resolution certificate program is designed to study the dynamics of conflict and how to resolve them. In this program, students will learn to address the complexity of people's lives, help them build a sense of community, foster mutual respect and cooperation, and assist them in seeing the perspectives of others and collaborating rather than using power as a basis for resolving disputes.

Conflict Resolution Professional Certificate Courses
If students are interested in completing this program but don't need the academic credit, they may take the same courses for a professional certificate in conflict resolution. The following courses are available for this noncredit option:
- CNRES 751 - Conflict Resolution: Core Skills and Strategies
- CNRES 752 - Culture and Conflict
- CNRES 754 - Organizational Conflict
- CNRES 755 - Family Mediation OR CNRES 759 - Foundations of Trauma and Traumatic Stress OR Other conflict resolution course as approved by the program director
The courses are available online and range in length from eight to 16 weeks. Each course will take place at the same time and follow the same pacing as the for-credit option, allowing students to participate in the live Zoom sessions or watch the recordings at a later time. The fee for noncredit participants is $250 per course. Optional continuing education hours are available for an additional fee. University admission is not required for noncredit course participation.
