Program Overview


Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging in Business Undergraduate Certificate

The Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) in Business Certificate offers a focused specialty area of study that builds skills to strategically manage a multicultural and identity-diverse workforce. This certificate is designed to help students deepen their understanding of their own perspectives and those of others, understand workplace strategies that foster diversity and inclusion, and understand the business case for diversity.


Program Overview

The DEIB in Business Certificate is a 15-credit hour program that can be completed 100% online. The tuition rate is $555.95 per credit hour, although this rate is subject to change annually.


Admission Requirements

All students are required to meet the general university admission requirements. The certificate can be obtained as a credential on its own (free-standing), which requires admission to Kansas State University as a nondegree, certificate-seeking student. Students must declare their intent to complete the certificate by completing the appropriate form with the College of Business Student Success Center advisors.


Additional Requirements

  • No more than 25% of total credit hours required for the certificate may be transfer credits.
  • Minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 is required on courses applied to a certificate.
  • All courses applied to the certificate must have letter grades.
  • Courses with grades of "Credit" or "Pass" will not be applicable.

The certificate will prepare students to be leaders in fostering diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in business. The goal is organizational effectiveness, the potential for gaining a sustainable competitive advantage, and to make meaningful contributions to bettering the community.
