Program Overview

University Honors Program

The University Honors Program is designed for students who strive to get the most from their undergraduate experience. The program is open to both incoming students and current K-State students.

Admission Criteria

For incoming freshmen, applications are reviewed holistically, with no set metric for GPA or standardized test scores. The program looks for students who will:

  • Maintain a 3.5 or higher GPA at K-State
  • Enjoy and do well in an Honors course with Honors peers
  • Strive to get the most from their undergraduate experience

Transfer students are required to have a 3.5+ cumulative GPA from their prior institution. If students were involved in an Honors program at their prior college or university, the program is interested in accepting Honors transfer hours towards partial fulfillment of the UHP requirements.

Program Requirements

Current K-State students who have established a 3.5 or higher cumulative GPA at K-State may complete the online application. Graduate students are not eligible to apply to the University Honors Program.
