Food Hygiene - Basic Course
The Meny licence in food hygiene is a basic education in food hygiene, as suggested by the Swedish National Food Administration. The web-based course, which is estimated to eight hours of study, is completed with an interactive final exam. The Meny licence - food hygiene fulfils the existing demands on all persons who handle food.
Course Content
The course covers the following topics:
- Microbiology
- Food poisoning
- Personal hygiene
- Cleaning
- In-house inspection including HACCP
- Statutes
Course Structure
This is an independent course, consisting of individual work via the Internet, and is concluded with a final quiz. The course content is based on real cases in different food environments, and theory sections are alternated with quizzes.
Target Audience
This is a basic course that all employees at the food company should take, and a suitable basic course for those of the company to be HACCP-trained (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points).
Cost and Registration
The Meny License in Food Hygiene costs 2,000 SEK/person (excl. VAT), which includes three attempts at the final quiz. It is possible to register for a new final quiz and get three new attempts, if needed, which costs 750 SEK (excl. VAT).
