Program Details
The program in question is a fortbildning, or further education, course focused on the inspection of damages caused by predators on domestic animals and dogs. This course is specifically designed for the field personnel of Länsstyrelsen (the County Administrative Board).

Course Content
In-Depth Study of the Inspectors' Mission and Function
- Skador orsakade av stora rovdjur (Damages caused by large predators)
- Bedömning och kvalitetssäkring (Assessment and quality assurance)
- Praktiska och teoretiska kalibreringsövningar (Practical and theoretical calibration exercises)
- Förebyggande ĺtgärder (Preventive measures)
- Bemötande av skadedrabbade (Treatment of those affected by damage)
The course is both practical and theoretical. Participants are expected to bring clothing and shoes suitable for outdoor activities in all weather conditions.
Eligibility and Registration
- Participants must have completed basic training previously.
- Nature conservation officers without basic training can make an expression of interest. Eligible inspection personnel with basic training have priority, but those who have expressed interest can participate if there is space. Notification of participation will be given after the last registration day.
- The education is provided on behalf of the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency.
Registration Details
- Minimum number of participants: 8
- Maximum number of participants: 16
- Maximum 3 participants per county. More people can be registered and placed on a waiting list.
- Registration of participants must be made by the responsible person at the County Administrative Board.
- The following information must be provided for each participant:
- First and last name
- County Administrative Board and role
- Mobile phone number
- Need for special diet
- Information about accommodation: arrival and departure dates, preference for roommates or single room
Program and Schedule
A program will be sent to registered participants before the course starts.
Cancellation Policy
- Cancellation less than 2 weeks before the course starts will be charged 50% of the course fee.
- Cancellation later than 1 week before the course starts will be charged the full course fee.
