Introduction to the SLU Youth Institute

The SLU Youth Institute is a unique and inspiring challenge for high school students in collaboration with the World Food Prize Foundation. The goal is to create interest in the world's global issues with an extra focus on the UN's Sustainable Development Goal number 2 - Zero Hunger.

The SLU Youth Institute aims to engage high school students in global food systems, youth engagement, and international collaboration. The program includes a week-long programme focused on these areas, where students can learn from leaders, researchers, and young people from all over the world.

  • Young Swedish voices at the World Food Forum in Rome inspired by the future of sustainable agriculture: During the World Food Forum in Rome, three Swedish high school students met leaders, researchers, and young people from all over the world, gaining new insights into how global collaborations can create a more sustainable future.
  • SLU Youth Institute hosts engaging week of learning and collaboration: SLU Global welcomed Rebecca Picard from World Food Prize Foundation (WFPF) to Uppsala for a week-long programme focused on global food systems, youth engagement, and international collaboration.
