Program Overview
Introduction to the SLU Interdisciplinary Academy
The SLU Interdisciplinary Academy (IDA) is a program established by the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) to promote interdisciplinary research and collaboration among its faculty members. The academy aims to foster a culture of interdisciplinary research, encourage collaboration among researchers from different disciplines, and develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
Program Description
The IDA program consists of a focus group with the title "Beyond restoration: Interdisciplinary exploration of restoration for present and future generations." The program brings together researchers from various disciplines, including ecology, aquatic resources, forest mycology and plant pathology, urban and rural development, and ecology. The focus group will analyze and synthesize existing restoration frameworks, examine their practical application, and identify key factors for successful restoration projects.
